RIGHT ACTION

Thus, there is no real distinction between the way of renunciation and the way of duty performed. True renunciation and true performance of work are identical, the essence of both being the giving up of personal desire.

Children, but not those who know, speak of the Sankhya and the Yoga as different; he who is duly established in either obtains the fruits of both.

V-4

He that performs such action as is his duty, not looking forward to the fruit of such action, is a Sannyasi as well as a Yogi, not he that gives up the household fire and sits inactive.

VI-1

That which is called renunciation, know that as Yoga, no one can become a Yogi who has not renounced plans and desires.

VI-2
