Temples And Legends Of Bihar Introduction

The village Masarh in the Sadar sub- division of Shahabad district is about six miles west of Arrah town-the headquarters of the district. The village is connected both by rail and road. The nearest railway station, Karisath on the main line of the Eastern Railway, is at a distance of 1 ½ miles from Masarh.

Excepting bullock-carts, which also have to be arranged in advance, there is no other conveyance from Karisath railway station to Masarh. The all-weather road from Arrah to Buxar passes through Bibiganj village about 5 miles from Arrah town. There is an unmetalled road from Bibiganj to Masarh covering a distance of about a mile.
