Avadayar Koil - Lord Kartikeya Introduction

This is an important Sivasthala, 8 miles from Arantangi Rail Station. How the temple, with its finest architectural work, came t built and by whom is not clearly known; but in all probability the treasure given by the Pandyan King for the purchase of horses could have spent for the construction of the temple at Tirupperunturai by Manickavachakar, who spent the larger part of his time there.
