Rashtra Sevika Samiti is a unique, Akhil Bharateeya cultural organisation of Hindu women. It is generally taken for granted that women should normally look after their home and children only. The implied meaning of home and children has lost its relevance to social and national context. The necessity of some arrangement to revive it was expressly felt.

Vidarbha is a very fertile land producing enriching crops. Not only that but it has produced outstanding personalities who have preciously given a new dimension to the history of this land. Realisation of the mantra is the prestigious honour of this small region. Sangh and Samiti, the two major Hindu organisations of Akhil Bharateeya status, have their origin in this region.

Rashtra Sevika Samiti's basic principle is Hindutwa. The Samiti firmly believes that every person born Hindu must practise this principle. In the absence of it there is every possibility of Hindu, losing his identity and losing identity is a crisis in a nation's life. Samiti is committed not to allow it.

Vandaneeya Taiji always describes an ideal worker as one who has ice on her head and sugar on her tongue. In fact this is the real and appropriate introduction of her nature also. Vandaneeya Taiji (Saraswatibai) Apte, the Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, is herself an embodiment of motherhood and leads the organisation in that Spirit.
