Samskaras Page1

The word Samskara means a purifying ceremony.

The rishis of ancient India have prescribed many Samskaras for a man from his birth to death.

. The object of Samskaras is to make God love us more.

Samskaras also help us to learn discipline and develop character.

There are as many as forty Samsakars in a man’s life.

Of these only a-few are commonly observed these days.

As soon as a child is born, the father must go to the river and bathe and give away gifts to holy persons. These will please his ancestors.
