Introduction
The book is composed of fifteen essays and is divided into three parts. The first part entitled "Principles of Good Life", is a collection of essays on various subjects in regard to a good life. Except for the second essay on eudcation which was written a number of years ago, all the reamining eight essays were written within the span of a little over one year, between the latter part of 1965 and the middle of January 1967.
The second part, " The vital Distinctions". is composed of four essays of double themes; each essay aims at portraying both the essence of and the differences between the two themes by elaborating each and contrasting each with the other. All four essays were written a fortnight in September 1966.
It would be far more interesting and meaningful if the reader would pause and ponder for even a minute on the differences between loneliness and solitude, existence and living, and particularly between intelligence adn wisdom and between fund and joy.
The third and last part," The Mystery of Life", has only one essay, the longest one in the book, and is also the consumption of his work in the book. It is an intuitive work on the mystery of life, and was written several years ago. Because of the unique nature of this work, a special prologue has been inserted in Part -III.
