Preface To The First Edition
The subject matter of this booklet originally appeared in a series of six articles written by the author in the Deccan Herald of Banglore.
At the suggestion of Dr. R.R.Diwakar, they have been expaned, checked and touched up for purposes of this edition.
I am grateful to Prof.J.H.Dave for writing a Foreword to this book and to the Deccan Herald for permission to publish this material in the present form.
Preface To The Second Edition
In this new and revised edition I have added two more appendices, which are supplementary in character to the information contained in the body of the book. I am sure readers will appreciate their inclusion as they contain vital facts concerning the everyday spiritual life of the Hindu.
Preface To The Third Edition
I have taken this opportunity to further revise, rearrange, and add new material to the text so as to make it more useful. If my effort helps the reader live a full life, I shall feel rewarded.
