In the last
lesson you read about the holy place of Varanasi in the north. Here you will read about
another holy place, Rameswaram.
It is a small island near the southern tip of our country.
Here we find the famous temple of God Rameswara.
It is a large and beautiful temple.
This god, too, is in the form of a Linga.
Sri Rama installed this Linga. So the god is called Rameswara.
Rama became blessed by worshipping Rameswara.
There are many holy tirthas in and near the temple.
