There are records to show that a revenue officer of the m's Government, by name Indupudi Narayanarao, granted Akiripalli village as a free Agraharam to Lord Sobhaneswara in 1626 A.D.
A Dharma Sasana to that effect was inscribed in a copper plate and the Agraharam was left to are of Devulapalli Atchyutabhagavantulu, the founder of the institution, for the performance of the festivals of Sri Sobhanachalaswamy and for the benefit of temple services.
Another grant by Venkatadri Apparao, in 1697 A.D. which is also inscribed in a copper plate states that Akiripalli was granted as an Agraharam for the festivals of the temple
and for the maintenance of the temple services.
From the Kaifiat issued by one Tadepalli Chandra Kulakarni, it is known that the village was dedicated to one aidimarri Darmannagaru for the worship of the temple.
Their descendants transferred this Agraharam to the temple. From another Kaifiat issued by one AnumanchiAtchyutaramaiah it is seen that some local zamindars had also endowed some villages for the benefit of the Lord.
