Manu Page1

Manu was the Son of God. He was the first man. He was king of the land. We are all born of Manu.So we are called Manushyas or Manavas.

God gave Manu Satarupa as his queen. God gave him the earth to rule. Manu had two sons. Priyavrata and Uttanapada. He had three daughters, Aakooti, Devahooti and Prasooti.Priyavrata divided the world into seven dwipas or continents.

Uttanapada was the father of the great Dhruva. The daughters of Manu too were famous. Manu wrote the Dharma Sastra, the Rules of Good Life, for his children. Even today we follow his teachings.
