OUR Country is famous for its sculptures and paintings.

Many of them are found on the pillars and walls of our temples.

Some others are seen on the wails of caves. These caves can be several hundred years old. The best known cave temples are at Ajanta and Ellora in Maha - rashtra.

The Ajanta caves are situated near Auran - gabad. They are cut in the sides of the Sahyadri mountains and are far away from the town.

These caves are surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. By the side of the very last cave there is a lovely waterfall called the Seven falls. Here, the water falls from a height of 100 feet, and flows into a tank cut among rocks.
