About eight hundred years ago thee lived in the village of Nimba in Bellary district of Karnataka, a devout Telugu Brahmin Named Jagannatha. To him was born a son. He named the child Niyamananda.

At the time of his upanayana or sacre   thread investiture, Rishi Narada appeared and taught the boy the Gopal-Mantra.

It is a mantra with which one worships Lord Krishna.

When the boy grew up he became a famous bhakta, a god-man. He preached the worship of God Krishna and Goddess Radha.

Once he heard of the arrival of the arrival of sanyasi at the village.

Although it was late in the evening, he went to the place where the sanyasi stayed, and invited him to take food at his house.

The sanyasi readily agreed.
