let us turn our attention inwards and find out what exactly ails our
society from within.
The most serious defect of an average
Hindu is his physical weakness and consequent cowardice, often
clothed in high-sounding words like Ahimsa ! Swami Vivekananda
called weakness as sin and death. He exhorted our young men to
develop muscles of iron and nerves of steel.
Gandhiji, the greatest apostle of
Ahimsa in the modern days, advised the fleeing Malabar Hindus before
the rioting Moplas in 1923 to cultivate the art of killing and
being killed. He averred that it did not constitute violence.
Even the Upanishads declare that there is no salvation for the weak!
There is a lot of truth in that saying of Darwin, survival of
the fittest.
