Kural Page1

In every action there are the three elements of loss, acquisition and value. The quality and measure of each of these three elements should be weighed before under taking any action.

The prince whose undertakings are carefully launched after deliberation with a body of tried counselors will find no Impediment in the achievement of his objects.

The wise does not launch in undertaking by which, for a possible fu4ure gain, they will lose what which, for a possible fu4ure gain, already gets.

The wise conserve what is already gained before entering on a doubtful undertaking,

Ill-considered aggressive operations serve only to mobilize and strengthen the enemy.
