Kural insists on the moral law being
followed in acts of State.
Avoid at all times action that is not in
accordance with the moral law.
Pugazh nanri denote, respectively,
commendation by the good people of the world and conformity with the moral code.
Those who seek to be great should retrain
from everything that might tarnish their good name.
Do not do that which good men would
condemn, even if it means your helplessly looking on without finding food for your
starving mother.
