The Aryan Dravidian Divide > Page1

The British ruled India, as they did other lands, by a divide and conquer strategy. They promoted religious, ethnic and cultural divisions among their colonies to keep them under control. Unfortunately these policies entered into the intellectual and religious realms. The same simplistic ideas that were used for political domination were applied for interpreting the culture and history of India, as dividing a culture intellectually is the key to controlling it in the political realm.

Regrettably many Hindus have come to believe these foreign ideas, even though a deeper examination reveals they have no real objective or scientific basis.

One of the most important of these European-invented ideas is that India is a land of two races the lighter-skinned Aryans and the darker-skinned Dravidians and that the Dravidians were the original inhabitants of India whom the invading Aryans conquered and dominated.
