Kural Page1

If the world were so ordered that ome of its inhabitants must live in dependence and on the mercy of others, the Creator would indeed deserve the curse of becoming a wandering beggar himself.

There is no dish so sweet as that earned by ones owns labour, be it but the thinnest gruel.

The 'No' of the unwilling man is poison and death to the suppliant. But it is strange that such mortal poison did not hurt the man through whose mouth it passed and with whom it was in primary physical contact.
