WHAT TO ADORE - WHERE AND HOW?

The icon in standing posture flanked by Sri Valli and Devasena is extremely grand and after prayers, when come out, and moved a little further to the left, there is seen Balagnanambika shrine. Adoring her, we descend to offer prayers to Adiparasakti statue installed in a niche. Standing majestically she looks grand and serene. Here there are many Sivalingas in the open, paying homage, we reach Patala Ganapathy mandir It is, as its name suggests, a bhugarbha mandir with a flight of 30 stairs. As the descent along the narrow stair, through a low opening is to be made, one has to bend head and go with care, else knocking against the lintel causes head injuries. The image of Vinayaka is installed on a high pedestal and it is a well-chesilled icon that raises our hands in veneration. He is known for blessing munificently, and so people take vows and after achieving their ambition redeem them in the mandir as vowed. It is said that many sages did penance here in the past and were emancipated.
