This
ancient Muruga kshetra built on the top of a hill has the special distinction of
commanding two flights of well-built broad stairs-one for ascending and another
for descending. Built in the Dravidian architectural style, it has vast
courtyards and an imposing tower. The archamurti giving darsan in the Aandikola
form is extremely generous in conferring boons on the devotees. Whenever any
mishap happens to anyone in this locality, the star-crossed rush to the Lord,
and the Lord too succours any type of help at a mere darsan at a moment's notice
at it, if soulfully prayed for. As this faith is entrenched in the bones of
bhaktakoti, the duhkartis visit more often than not, and are relieved of their
problems. Hence steady streams of bhaktas throughout the year. Nityanaimithika
worship is offered with great devotional fervour.
It is lying
on the Trichy-Perambur road, accessible by bus.
