| It is not
possible to fight and vanquish them by one's unaided effort. Seek the help of God and pray
to Him to stand by you. Then you will triumph over them. Don't ask: "Should God come
Himself for all this? Is it right to invoke Him for this?" This power will accrue to
you as a result of your seeking God's help. You will
then be able to withstand those desires. There is nothing to detract from the majesty of
God when we call Him to our aid. In fact, He is pleased when we pray and petition to him.
Subjugation of the natural passions and the victory of the soul cannot be achieved without
His aid. |
