ENEMIES

When you are down in luck, make neither friends nor enemies; be neutral even as regards those whom you have found reason to trust or to distrust.

Do not show your weakness to your enemies, nor even seek relief by communicating your difficulties to your friends if they are not aware of them already.

Statecraft consists in getting support without letting your weakness be known.

Procrastination is folly. A thorny shrub should be removed when it is yet young. If you let it grow and then try to remove it, you will only hurt your hands.

They will be surely destroyed who fail to take timely action to curb the strength of their enemies.
