YAJNAVALKYA AND MAITREYI |
|
"From the
Atman everything has been breathed out like smoke issuing from firewood when lit. The
Vedas, Puranas, Sutras, traditions, cultures and everything proceeds from it."
"The Atman is like the sea where all the waters pour into. It is like the skin being
the seat of all sensation. It is like the tongue being the seat of all tastes. It is
like the ear being the receptacle of all sounds. It is like the mind being the seat of all
thoughts."
"Just as the salt is a mass of taste all over, the Atman is a mass of knowledge,
complete, perfect and conscious. Things
arise out of the elements in it and vanish into it when they disintegrate." |
