SURYA UPASTHANAM |

| I meditate on the
fame and greatness of that excellent attracted of the minds of heavens which never
perishes, who worship the Sun God who protects all subjects. The Sun is all-knowing and guides people. That God supports earth and heaven. He looks vigilantly with unclose eyes all beings. I offer oblation full of ghee to get imperishable results. O Sun, friend of Universe, he who with regularity desires to worship you, may that mortal get the perfect fruit of dharma? He, who is protected by you, will not suffer from any disease, he will live a hundred years; sin from near or far will not torment him.
