RAMESWARAM TEMPLE-AGRA PUJA TO KASIVISWANATH LINGA

In the famous temple at Rameswaram, strangely enough, the first worship' is offered to the Sivalinga brought by Hanuma with infinite reverence than to the most holy Sivalinga installed by Srirama, the incarnation of Mahavishnu amidst Vedic chants by the celestials, why?
