Imagine
for a while the eagles winging aloft in the high blue are teaching the so called
highly civilized the value of discipline! The doves from time immemorial are
used to carry messages. They are punctual and punctilious. The highly developed
mail service of modern days bends its head in shame, before them, should it not?
Stand and salute those winged creatures, the personification of discipline. In
fine, their duty conscience is non-pareil.
Entering
the highly venerable field of devotion and dedication, we feel stunned at the
news of two large eagles coming from thousands of miles regularly at a fixed
hour to partake of the prasad given by the priest after offering it to Lord Siva
peruman. Their adherence to the time schedule has never declared any holiday,
under circumstances any. They are visiting not for food, but to worship the omni
compassionate Lord who graced Darshan and fulfilled their desire of worshiping
Him eternally, if not in the human form, but in some living shape. Devotion is
not the monopoly of humans only. Beasts and birds excel man, deemed the crown
of creation. Even in external values, like discipline and devotion.
