INTRODUCTION

"'This is the much sought after and largely- visited Saivate temple in Tirupathi. Its location in the calm sequestered place is its plus point. The water falls and the broad tank below the temple attract the pilgrims for sacred bath. The sight of archamurthi - Sivalinga with its diamond studded triple lines on the forehead standing for Vibhuti marks raises the hands in severance instantly on entering the mukha mandap. Thre are installed in small but splendid minishrines all the Saivate gods, like Kamakshi, Kumaraswamy V'inayaka,Dakshina-murthy in addition to Nagadevatas on a high dais in the open and two more independent mandapas for Sivalingas. The entire temple built into a concave bend of an unhewn natural rock lying behind, a portion of the hills is exceedingly grand and soul lifting. Shall we now move to Alimelu Mangapuram?"
