The
purpose this small booklet is to lift the curtain on the glittering
glories of this great Triputi, famous for its unsurpassable
supremacy. It may not tie deemed a hackneyed expression if said,
that ocean's of ink become inadequate, if an attempt is made at
narrating its sacrosanct history, but, occasion demands brief
narration. So only the
essentials are included in this to give a kaleidoscopic picture of
its hoary antiquity. Many persons and works are consulted. All in
Telugu only. I made use of Sri kanaka Durga Kshetra Vaibhavam,
masterly penned by the literary gaint Sri Mancham Bhaskara
Venkatadattatreya Sarma, B.Com (Hons.) the Devasthanam Purana
pandit, and his personal enumeration of certain points helped me
immensely to complete the work. I express my whole-hearted,
unqualified gratitude to him for the kind hand extended.
