mysterious force, when it reached the outskirts of the city. And Vishnu Vardhan,
seeing Mother's visible form shining resplendent, emerging from Agnikunda and
coming towards him fell down dead in a pool of blood oozing out from the sinful
head, broken into innumerable pieces
and from that
rose an effulgent flame, and moving across the space fell at holy
lotus feet of the Mother and merged into them instantly. Hearing the
calamitous end of his father. Raja Mahendra , the legal heir to the throne
rushed to the spot, and attended to the funeral ceremonies.
At the end, he made
Virupaksha the lord of Penugonda. Assuring all assistance and protection in the
capacity of overlord, he made a graceful exit from Penugonda. And
at the very sacred spot of Agnikunda, a magnificent statue was installed later,
and it has been receiving
devout prayers since then from the descendants of Mother Vasavamba and her loyal
followers. And million of theists uninterruptedly even today.
