HANUMAKONDA - BHADRAKALI TEMPLE

Unfortunately its glory started waning after the death of Prataparudra II. It was in 1950 a philanthropist by name Mangalal Somaj made renovations and brought it under flood light of eminence.

The temple having enjoyed munificent patronage of a long line of illustrious rulers is architecturally and sculpturally grand and majestic in appearance. The archamurti is ashtabhuja Bhadrakali holding many potent weapons of war in her hands. Its immensity of size measuring nine feet in height and four feet in width is quite awe-some and imposing She strikes terror in the minds of wicked and fills the souls of the righteous with benignty unparalleled. And a Pratyaksha daivam of ardent believers at it. Daily and periodical worship is carried on with great spiritual zeal-and they are drawing devout bhaktas round the year.

The temple can be reached by bus or train up to Warangal and from there b four wheelers.
