This
popular and much-hallowed Devi mandir is luring thousands of devotees round the
year due to liberal grant of boons by the archamurti Yellamma. All the genuine
prayers are rewarded over and above the expectations of dukhartis, and every
visitor feels assured of the Mother's abhayahastam invariably for carefree life.
This accounts for the immense attraction and celebration of festivals with great
pomp and splendour. The temple is superbly built and faces east. The archamurti
reveals Santaswarupa and pleases immensely by her stature, size and masterly
made shape. Among the annual festivals, the deeparadhana falling in the month
of Vaisakha. Car festival and special pujas offered on the Magha Pouranami have
great spiritual significance, when huge crowds congregate and celebrate with
much fanfare. Every Tuesday and Friday also bring huge crowds of ardent devotees
who worship the Mother with great zeal worthy of emulation.
