This
ancient Saktisthal is a much hallowed temple attracting huge crowds regularly.
The locals make frequent visits and pour out their mental anguish with tear
stained eyes and believe that they will certainly be rowed across the sea with
her infinite grace. No agony remained an agony after soulful prayer and it takes
to heel on genuine prayers. And that is the belief and it is well guarded and
greatly rewarded. The image of the Mother Ekavira is made of stone and it is in
standing posture with her mount lion at her lotus feet. Agamic worship is
offered regularly and the periodical festivals are celebrated with great eclat.
The special festival falls in Chattra and lasts for eight days, when huge crowds
congregate and participate in all the devotional activities with great religious
fervor.
It
lies 3 km of Malavali on Bombay - Pune broad guage line, accessible by bus.
