RUKMINI MANDIR:
The
temple for Rukmini is situated in the north west corner of the grabha griha. It
has an antarala, mandap, sahba mandap etc., fittingly decorated and neatly
maintained. The three-foot-high image of Rukhmai is installed on a high
pedestal with a silver plated prabhavala behind. She is decorated in Marati
style with dazzling diamond jewels and shimmering saree. Her enchating form and
stature draped in colourful dress and jewels cast enchantment on the beholders.
Although there are separete shrines for Sathyabhama built in a grandiose manner
they lag behind this in many aspects. There lie many mini-shrines and niches
adorned with several gods and goddesses in the enclosure, occupying vast area.
The spacious hall with its spic and span detain the devotees, and spending hours
affords a rewarding experience . This Mandir through forms an integral part of
Vithal temple, the performance of pujas and festivals are independent and quite
elaborate. The goddess holds in her sway imperious manner and enchants her
votaries with divinity and majesty of unique type.
