in the legends as Bhaktipura, this town boasts of an ancient temple built by
Harisimha of Mithila belonging to Karnataka dynasty. Having enjoyed royal
munificence, it is imposing in construction and vast in dimensions. Tulaja
Bhavani, the preceding deity, by her infinite benevolent attitude towards here
bhaktakoti won the confidence of people to the extent of passing for a wish
yielding tree - Kalpadruma. Daily prayers are offered with great religious
fervour according to Nepali customs. Periodical festivals draw huge crowds and
they spend lavishly befitting the status of a temple of the capital city.
