As she is balipriya, she allows meat and meat
products for naivedya purpose. When congregational activities with the
participation
of all castes taken place then only vegetarian
dishes are prepared with pungent species and offered to the Mother. She welcomes
them and relishes without objections. No taboo is imposed on anything here. Hence
she endeared herself to the public and is held in high esteem. Festivals are
celebrated with unusual pomp and splendour and daily worship according to
agamas.
It lies about a
kilometre off the holy Lingaraj temple on the western bank of Gangs river,
accessible by four wheelers from any part of the capital city.
