  BHUVANESWAR - CHANDI MANDIR

The new temple that is built rather renovated recently with public donation is exceedingly grand with modern embellishments and it is centrally situated for easy and quick visitation. The deity adored by the kings was submerged in the debris of the dilapidated mandir, but the grateful public realising its sacredness built another in its pace. Chandi being balipriva and relishes tamasikaahara, fish and meat are cookeed and offered. She blesses her votaries liberally and make there enjoy beatitude. As the worries and problems take to heels mill her darsan, grateful people collected donations and built this temple, besides many lodging houses to meet the cost of maintenance from the rents collected from them. Recently some more additions like a well for water to both visitors and temple is dug and now it is self contained and affording solace to the troubled minds and fevered bodies.

It lies in the south corner of the ruined palace of the royal dynasty that ruled tile present Orissa for centuries and call be reached by four wheelers from any part of city.
