The
new temple that is built rather renovated recently with public donation is
exceedingly grand with modern embellishments and it is centrally situated for
easy and quick visitation. The deity adored by the kings was submerged in the
debris of the dilapidated mandir, but the grateful public realising its
sacredness built another in its pace. Chandi being balipriva and relishes
tamasikaahara, fish and meat are cookeed and offered. She blesses her votaries
liberally and make there enjoy beatitude. As the worries and problems take to
heels mill her darsan, grateful people collected donations and built this
temple, besides many lodging houses to meet the cost of maintenance from the
rents collected from them. Recently some more additions like a well for water to
both visitors and temple is
dug and now it is self contained and affording solace to the troubled minds and
fevered bodies.
It
lies in the south corner of the ruined palace of the royal dynasty that ruled
tile present Orissa for centuries and call be reached by four wheelers from any
part of city.
