CHITHOD - SMASHAN KALI MANDIR

It is an emerald set in sparkling gold. Well sculptured and profusely ornamented pillars dominate the inside hall. The carving of several episodes on the wall panels detain the visitors for long and among them, the Agnimurti image stands supreme. There is a big brass lamp burning round the clock and round the year. This akhanda jyothi inspires and propelled them into war theatre in times of danger.

In the vicinity of this mandir there are other well built temples like Tulja Bhavani and Annapurna devi. Regular worship is offered with great devotional zeal and periodical festivals are celebrated reflecting the grandeur of Rajput race. 

It lies in Chithod town, itself accessible by four wheels.
