 DIGWARA - AMBIKA MANDIR

The glory of this holy shrine is embedded in Durga Saptasati and its emergence enthralls all classes of people. The victims of ingratitude are not let down, nor their miseries torment them not till death If the filial piety is denied or denigrated and the off-springs turn out ingrates. the divine Mother hugging the victims to her heart blesses them for eternal bliss. The following stands as a-testimony of the mercy of the Mother and exemplifies that truth universal.

According to legend a certain king in the days of yore was defeated in a war against his powerful enemy though fought bravely with a strategy of superb type. Deeming him nerveless and useless, his own son aided and abetted by his selfish premier of ditch born type dethroned him ruthlessly. While wandering in the forest cursing his misfortune there he met another grief-stricken luckless elderly merchant named Samadhi, whose fate was similar to him. He was sent our by his own ungrateful son for no fault of him Both emptied their hearts and groaned piteously sitting together for hours.
