The victorious king was directed
by Mother Kali in dream that he should free her from underground captivity as her
image was buried and she wanted to be installed. The king lost no moment to dig
up at the exact spot as directed and found to his ecstatic joy the charming icon
of the Mother. Instantly he made elaborate arrangements for installation in
accordance with agamic tenets with unprecedented pomp and splendour. And then he
introduced the tradition of liquor distributed as thirtham to the visitors.
Daily worship is offered with great religious fervour and the periodical festivals matching the status of the royalty, when festivity and devotional
exuberance vie with catch other for a prize, as it were. A miss - not occasion
