MAYUVARAM - SRI ARYAMBIGAI TEMPLE

It is one of the famous centres of pilgrimage. Many kings and feudal lords made liberal endowments and made this an indispensable visit worthy yatrasthala it contains many mandapas and mini-shrines for several adorable deities like Muruga, Vinayaka, Nayanmars etc.

There is a separate independent temple for Mother adjoining her Lord's which is superbly adorned with exquisite sculpture. The Mother's icon in standing posture is about five feet to height and supremely handsome that causes enchantment. Agamic worship is offered and annual festivals are celebrated with due pomp and splendour.

It lies to the east of the town Mayuvaram and accessible by walk or four wheelers.
