This
Saiva kshetra came into prominence even during Dwaparayuga, due to
the fact of building of the temple and installation of the
archamurti by Balarama, the immortal brother of Lord Sri Krishna. It
lies at the confluence of Nagavalli and Vamsadhara rivers, so held
in high esteem. The annual festival celebrated on Maghasuddha
Chaturdasi lures large crowds, and gala performances take place.
It lies 12 Km off Parvathipuram of Srikakulam district of Andhra
Pradesh.
