SIVASHTA MURTHIS

The immortal, celebrated dramatist Kalidas incorporated this universal, imperishable, ever luminous truth in Abhignana Sakuntalam, saying that the eternal consciousness of the Supreme Reality is manifested in the vibration, motion, expansion, modification of the aforesaid ashtamurtis.  This is enough to believe that Almighty God is proving his Omnipresence.  More than this Pratyakshasatyam - visible proof, there cannot be found anywhere anything, search with any means, or however long you please.

Sri Sankara Bhagavatpada also reaffirms this immutable truth in this sloka:

Bhuhambhamsi anolo anilo ambaram

Ahharnatho himansushpuman ityabhati characharatmakam

Vimrasatam yasmat parasmat vibho

Tasmai Srigurumurthaye nama idam Sri Dakshnamurthaye

The astamurtis of Siva exemplified thus becomes an immutable truth.  Above all, Jagadguru Bhagavan Sri Krishna ratifies this during his Prabodha to Arjuna -

Bhumih Aapo analo Vayuh Kham mano buddhi ye vace

Ahankara iti iyam mebhinna prakritih astadha

Apara iyam itopi anyam prakritim viddime param

Jivabhutam mahabhaho yaya idam dharyate Jagat.
