This
holy Saiva kshetra is also the birth place of a renowned Nayanamar
called Eripatha. This is a big temple with vast courtyards and tall
towers. The Sivalinga, unlike its counterparts is found slightly
leaning to one side. A specialty beckoning keen attention and ardent
adoration. Many illustratious bhaktas were libearted by the grace of
the Presiding deity and His consort Kripanayaki. And among them
Karuvur Devar deserves mention, says the Priest. The temple tank is
called Amaravathi.
