SRI
BANGESWARA MAHADEV TEMPLE
The
very remembrance of Sri Bangeswar Mahadev mandir lying in the midst
of a sprawling garden with fountains of different sizes surrounding
the colorful flower plants, sends thrills in the spines of Hindus,
living in its near-about and hastens them for worship and pleasure;
for its recreational potentialities seem vying with spiritual
solace. Bengalis, being the staunch worshippers of Sakti, normally
regard Siva as an ignoramus nomad, and underrate Him with the label
`Bhola Shankar', which means implicitly that He is innocent and
deserves to be adored next to MOTHER Kali only. Hence there are only
a few mandirs built here and there exclusively for Siva. Among them
this one is very popular.
