The temple turned out a great centre of Ganesh worship and so devotees attach great sanctity to it as done to the Ashta Vinayak kshetras. Nityanaimithika worship is offered with due devotional fervor.

It lies 15 km off Poona, the erst-while capital of Maratha rulers enjoying railways, airways and roadways round the clock at it.
