to the 2nd Edition
"Going
to press for the 2nd impression of Temple book in a short period of 5 years!
what a lucky chap you are" blustered a comrade-in-arms in jest, rather out
of zest in truth, while meeting at the press. This reflects the sorry state of
authors and the taste of the reading community. Well! nothing can change, but
one thing that is discernable is - there is some curiosity in the theist or
tourist community to 'stand and stare' at the titles for procuring temple books
either in the libraries or book shops. I presume it is a good sign for' the
revival of interest to visiting temples or knowing about the icons. This is the
prime cause for bringing out the 2nd edition of this book. Though my investment
did not yield good returns, I ant venturing again to appease the thirst of those
who stretch their hands for the books, I am releasing one after another, nearing
twenty in number.
