Banaras
- Tulasi Manasa Mandir
Varanasi is Varanasi, and nothing can stand
comparison with it in points of antiquity and
religiosity, since time immemorial. No place of
worship influences the life of pious religionist as
this mokshapuri, packed with mandirs built for
all the denominations of gods. Among such
mandirs, the Tulasi Manas mandir built by a
philanthropist merits first mention for ardent
visitation. This holy modern temple is built on
this exact spot where the celebrated poet-seer
1'ulasidas lived and authored the immortal
Ramacharitamanas that excelled the unexcelled
scriptures of India. The walls of this mandir are
inscribed with text of that master epic which
draws the pious attention of orthodox theists. In
the vast court yards of this mandir there are
many images of adorable gods installed in the
most modern and attractive way. No pilgrim
misses this, and missing it is considered much
sinned against sinning.
It is accessible by tongas and autos from any
part of Banaras.
