ANGER AND RECONCILIATION

Lakshmana, now no longer angry, entered the apartment. Sugreeva, descending from his seat, welcomed Lakshmana.

"Forgive my faults," he said. "With Raama's friendship and help I am King today. How can I ever forget what I owe to the valorous and good Raama? He can destroy his foes without any help from me. Lakshmana was pleased. "Raama is your equal in honour and prowess, none else," he said. "Come with me to Rishyamooka and give him words of comfort in his grief."

Sugreeva and Lakshmana went in a litter to Raama and, explaining the arrangements already made, satisfied him.
