| Samba installed
the idol in a temple and worshipped it. He was cured of the malady. It was on the seventh day of the bright half of Magh month Samba brought the idol from the river. So people go on a pilgrimage to this temple on this day. On the other days like Sankranti too people worship at this temple. The temple is designed as a chariot for the Sun-God with twelve wheels and drawn by seven horses. Foreign sailors called it the Black Pagoda. |
