Bhima was overjoyed to meet Hanuman. He fell at his feet.

Hanuman then got up and embraced Bhima.

Hanuman said: "Brother, whenever you need my help, think of me and I shall be there."

Then he added: "I shall always help the Pandavas. I shall function as Arjuna’s banner in the coming battle and bring you all victory."

That is how Arjuna came to called also Kapi-Dhvaja. The word means one whose banner contains the figure of a monkey.

Bhima took leave of Hanuman, and going to the river bank, collected a bunch of Saugandhika flowers and stems, and then went and presented them to Drapadi.
