(To
see inaction in action and vice versa is to under-stand that the
Lord does all the work indirectly through His power by using us. He
is the inactive actor. We are actively inactive, because we cannot
do anything without the flow of His power. Therefore, we are not the
doer, just an instrument in His hands.)
A Karma-yogi abandons the attachment to
the fruits of work, is always contented, and depends on no one but
God. Though engaged in activity, a true Karma-yogi is not held
responsible for his action, and there- fore does not incur Karmic
bondage. (4.20)
The oblation or offering of grain in
Yajna (or fire sacrifice, Seva) is Brahman (or God) and the
clarified butter or Ghee is Brahman. The fire as well as the one who
offers is also Brahman. Brahman shall be realized by one who
always considers everything as Brahman. (4.24)
